'Thrive Winter Outdoor Nature Activities for Children and Families' is the third book in a series of four books by Irish Early Years Educator and Author, Gillian Powell. Gillian, who has over 30 years experience in the sector, used time spent with children as the inspiration for the books. The latest book -Thrive Winter -concentrates on connecting with nature during the Winter period. It includes over 60 pages of outdoor nature ideas and activities for math, science, literature, language, well-being and mindfulness. It also includes a number of activities for Christmas. The Christmas activities aim to promote sustainability by using items that you can find outside to make beautiful artwork, decorations and cards.

Thrive seeks to help early years educators, children and parents to engage with the outdoors and connect to nature during Winter. Thrive Winter continues on from Thrive Autumn Outdoor Activities and is suitable for children 2 – 8 years old.
