We are delighted to bring you this ‘Friends Together’ bundle which combines a Group Learning Journal from our “Documentation Made Simple Series” and our “Multiculturalism” Curriculum Plan Pack, which includes a number of curriculum ideas to give you inspiration on inclusive practice and to respond to children’s own curiosity and emerging interests.
Every order will include the downloadable Curriculum Plans and whatever number of Journals you require. We recommend one for each room. For the best value, choose ‘5 Journals’ from the Quantity options.
About the ‘Friends Together’ Group Learning Journal
This open-ended A3 journal has a cover beautifully illustrated by Oliver Moore and Stephanie Morley.
All children have rights, no matter who they are, where they live, what language they speak, what religion they are, what gender they are, what their culture is, what disability they have or what their socio-economic background is. The purpose of this journal is to capture the inclusive learning experiences that happen within your service and to celebrate and recognise this diversity. The Friends Together Journal includes a world map you can use to identify where children and families come from across the globe. You can highlight the areas with stickers if you wish. The blank pages can be used to document the activities that take place within your setting.
To assist with this we have a range of curriculum plans and ideas that you can dip in to support the child’s interests. The Pack also includes a copy of an Inclusion Charter. The Aistear themes and goals are available on the inside cover page so the Early Years Educator can make the connections.

About the Diversity Curriculum Plan Pack: Celebrating Difference
The activities are designed to be flexible and adaptable to the varying types of Early Childhood Care and Education settings in operation within an Irish context. The suggestions in this resource pack are just that, and educators will take ownership over the lessons and apply them as they feel appropriate to meet the needs of their cohort of children.
The themes and principles of both Aistear and Síolta have informed the ethos of the lesson plans.
