Diwali is a major religious festival that originated in India. Diwali is commonly associated with Hinduism, however, it is also celebrated by Sikhs and Jains.
Diwali is frequently referred to as the 'festival of lights' because houses, shops, and public places are decked with little oil lamps known as 'diyas'.
This year Diwali will be celebrated on Friday , November 1st, 2024.
