Ireland has taken a significant step forward in addressing domestic violence by introducing Domestic Violence Paid Leave. Employers have a duty of care for the health, safety and wellbeing of their staff and are in a strong position to create a safe and supportive workplace environment.

IMPORTANT NOTE: All records pertaining to Domestic Violence Leave must be securely stored, kept confidential, and retained only as necessary. Any employee who receives disclosures, whether initially or as part of risk management, must maintain confidentiality. Where an unauthorised disclosure takes place, the disciplinary procedure may be invoked.
