It makes a wonderful keepsake, acting as a reflection of many 'new or first moments' a child experienced in their time at preschool. The aim of the Learning Journal is to show evidence of what each child feels, knows and can do.

At the Early Years Shop we have our own colourful Learning Journals that were designed by early years experts Canavan Byrne. The journals are A3 sized and have a square plastic pocket on the front to place a child's photograph. It also includes space for a child's name.

The inside cover shows a full list of the Aistear themes, aims and learning goals. This is an easy way for families to understand the Aistear references used in the journal. The first page of the book is an 'About Me' page that includes space for the child's name, eyes and hair colour, and their birthday. It also includes a framed space that can be used for the child's hand print.

Each Learning Journal Book includes 20 x A3 sized blank pages that can be used for a child's learning record. These can be filled out during the school year and, at the end of the year when the book is full, it makes a great gift for a child and their family. The book can be kept for many years to come to treasure those special moments from the early years!

Our Aistear Stickers are an effective tool to use when documenting learning achievements.
