The Parent Communication Pack was developed by Canavan Byrne in response to feedback from Early Years services around the challenges they have had maintaining good communication with parents while under COVID-19 restrictions.
The pack will help services to address updated Tusla requirements that services be able to demonstrate that they are implementing new ways of communicating with parents. It contains nearly 100 pages of tips, resources, forms and templates to support these new methods of communication between parents and early years educators.
The pack is divided into 4 sections:
- Section 1 – Parent Fact Sheets: This section contains the listed contents and some notes on research on the importance of communication with parents and receiving their feedback.
- Section 2 – Parent Developmental Prompt Sheets: These are single informational sheets that you can print out and/or email to parents
- Section 3 – Parent Communication Templates: Certificates and forms to facilitate communication between the service and the parents
- Section 4 – Parent Communication Logs: Record and document communications with parents, also included is a Parent Feedback Form
The pack is provided as one master PDF for your reference and also in 4 folders with individual PDF files for each page for ease of printing or emailing only the relevant pages as needed.
