Ramadan is coming up! This month-long period of observance of the revelation of the Quran to Muhammad begins the evening of 26th May this year and ends with the celebration of Eid on 24th June. Ramadan is observed by fasting and chastity among most in the Islamic faith. Many of the Irish early years services have Muslim children but whether your service does or not, it's a great opportunity to expose the children to other cultures and practices and an opportunity for games and activities around Ramadan and Eid.
