An Un-Enclosed Space Risk Assessment Form is this week’s Friday Freebie from Canavan Byrne. Where an outdoor space or multiple spaces are used by children, they may pose a higher risk by not being fully enclosed. Likewise, should the route to an outdoor space be unenclosed (such as a path leading to an enclosed playground), services can use this Risk Assessment Form before visiting the space to ensure risks are identified and minimised.
Completing this form is the first step to identifying all/any risks involved. In addition, it allows a service to put procedures in place to help minimise and/or prevent and correct those risks. Please note: This form does not replace the daily outdoor risk assessment checklist, or the Risk Management Policy that should be consulted prior to use of any routine or new outdoor space or play area.
