“Step into Music” Programme
This award winning ‘Step into Music Programme’ will give your service the competitive edge. For a small investment you can give preschool children access to a high quality approved early years music curriculum.
‘Step into Music’ introduces preschool children to performing, listening and responding, composing, as well as age-appropriate musical concepts in a fun and child-centred manner. It is approved by the Department of Education for Early Start, as it is transitional to the primary curriculum. It promotes independence in the child, valuing their subjective view of music.
The good news is that you do not have to have a musical background to deliver this with success. The programme comes with all the support you need in well constructed lesson plans and accompanying CDs.
This ‘Step in Music Programme’ is accompanied by a short guideline document that will help the early educator link the lesson plans into the Aistear Curriculum framework, its themes, aims and learning goals.
Having such a high quality music programme available gives you a unique selling point for your service and gives the children in your classroom a superb musical start in life!
